About
The Busan Fireworks Festival is Korea's leading fireworks show on the water, held around Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge. It started in 2005 as a celebratory fireworks show for the APEC Summit and now marks its 21st year as one of Busan's signature autumn events. Using Gwangan Bridge's special lighting and a large-scale production system, the festival puts on a massive multimedia show blending music and fireworks over the sea. With unique staging that takes advantage of Gwangalli's nighttime seaside setting and large-scale fireworks displays, it has become a global festival drawing huge crowds of visitors from Korea and abroad every year. This year, the 21st edition, will light up Busan's night sky with even more refined storytelling and fireworks staged over the water.
