About
"Deoksugung Palace at Night: Seokjojeon" is a nighttime program at Deoksugung Palace combining a guided night tour of Seokjojeon Hall with a professional docent, a "terrace café experience" where guests enjoy coffee and desserts once loved by Emperor Gojong while listening to classical music, and a musical performance telling the story of the Korean Empire's imperial family. It began as a pilot program in 2021, and thanks to strong satisfaction and popularity, launched officially in 2022; since 2023 it has been held twice a year. Guided by staff dressed as palace attendants, visitors take a special journey back in time into Seokjojeon Hall, steeped in the stories of the Korean Empire's royal family. With photo ops using enlightenment-era props for memorable portrait shots and souvenirs to take home, it's a multi-part cultural experience designed to make a night at Seokjojeon Hall unforgettable.
