About
On a mysterious October night, special guests travel back in time to Damyang, a town that never sleeps. The Damyang Heritage Night Walk unfolds the stories of historical and cultural figures born from Damyang, centered around Gwanbangjerim Forest, the Gaeksari Stone Flagpole, and the Namsan-ri Five-Story Stone Pagoda. Highlights include a marketplace drama telling the story of Seong Bu-sa, who built Gwanbangjerim Forest, with love and laughter; a heart-stirring pansori performance featuring Damyang-born master singer Lee Nal-chi; a talk concert with nighttime tales and piano melodies beneath the stone flagpole; and family games and performances following the mission of Jeon U-chi, who mastered magic at Damyang's Yeondongsa Temple. Dynamic storytelling fills the venue throughout. There's also an in-depth humanities lecture exploring the secrets behind Damyang singer-songwriter Kim Jeong-ho's (of 'White Butterfly' fame) music, and the connections between Seong Yi-seong and Jeon Cheon-sang. Layers of Damyang's history and culture unfold across quiet nights and softly lit lawns. On this mysterious October night, you can experience Damyang's own special atmosphere.
