About
The Cheonan Book Festival is the city library's signature reading event, blending reading, hands-on experiences, and fun activities. Libraries, book clubs, bookstores, and publishers all take part. Visitors can enjoy author talks, performances, experience booths, side events, and an outdoor library — a reading festival for the whole community. This year's event takes place at the Sunken Square in Cheonan삼거리 Park, with an opening ceremony, awards for avid readers, a family musical performance, and an ensemble concert. At the outdoor library, you can relax and read under the autumn sun. There will also be meet-the-author sessions with Han So-gon, author of 'Gochujang Errand,' and Lee Seo-su, author of 'Dance Anyway,' both selected as Cheonan's 2026 Books of the Year. On top of that, 16 experience booths and 13 bookstore/publisher booths offer a variety of reading activities. Admission is free.
