About
The 2026 Ganggyeong Jeotgal (Salted Seafood) Festival, now in its 30th year, celebrates Ganggyeong's history, culture, and local specialties, especially its famous fermented seafood. It runs for four days, from October 15 to 18, 2026, along the Geumgang riverside in Ganggyeong-eup, Nonsan. This year's theme is 'Ganggyeong Jeotgal and Sangwol Sweet Potatoes — Finally the Best!,' spotlighting these two local specialties through food, culture, and hands-on programs. Main events include the Global Ganggyeong Jeotgal Kimjang Festa, the Ganggyeong Port Market, jeotgal and sweet-potato-themed programs, performances and art events, experience activities, and sales/promotion of local products. Rooted in Ganggyeong's historical heritage and local produce, the festival introduces its flavors and culture while offering visitors plenty to see, taste, and try.
