Nakdonggang Gupo Ferry Landing Festival

The 13th Nakdong River Gupo Naru Festival celebrates the history and culture of Gupo, once the Nakdong River's main ferry crossing and a hub of logistics. It's held at the scenic Hwamyeong Ecological Park and ranks among the region's leading cultural tourism festivals. Under the slogan "Connect, Play, Meet! Gupo Naru," the festival runs for three days from October 16 to 18, offering performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and food for visitors of all ages. Highlights include a recreated ferry landing showing Gupo Naru's old appearance, a Gupo noodle platter and noodle-making experience, ecology programs, wellness programs, and the Nakdong Book Fair. Residents also take part directly through the Gupo Naru Song Contest and open neighborhood busking performances, adding the fun of visitors and locals shaping the festival together. After dark, night-time attractions such as the Gupo Naru night walk, Garden of Light, and the Byeolbada Busan Night Market let visitors enjoy a beautiful autumn night by the river.
